Assembly QC Inspector

    Minimum exp for Nature of Work

    • Knowledge of relevant industry products and processes.
    • Minimum 4 years of experience with the same or relevant product part inspection.
    • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings for part inspection.
    • Understanding and knowledge of various quality tools for inspection.
    • Knowledge of customer requirements, specifications, and inspection methodologies.
    • Ability to streamline and resolve defects identified during inspection with the help of cross-functional teams (CFT).
    • Knowledge of special processes such as riveting, bonding, torquing, painting, clinching, and welding.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
    • Coordinate with customers for inspection-related activities.
    • Manage customer and internal nonconformance, including RCA, OPL, and Q-Alert handling.
    • Work in alignment with the production team to support continuous improvement in regular production.
    • Ability to handle mail communication (internal and external) professionally.
    • Knowledge of ERP systems for entry and documentation.

    Job Profile / Responsibility

    • Accountable for daily inspection of parts.
    • Knowledge of different QC tools and templates for parts inspection.
    • Preparing new product check sheets.
    • Preparing inspection reports for inspected parts and sharing them with customers.
    • Participating in daily/weekly meetings with cross-functional teams (CFT) for issue resolution.
    • Understanding CR/ECN requests with the design team.
    • Informing engineering teams about drawing (DRW) issues/errors related to fitment or inspection.
    • Recording CR/ECN status for future reference.
    • Identifying fitment issues/improvements with the production team and sharing with engineering.
    • Providing quick response quality control for internal and external complaints.
    • Performing rework activities as and when required at the customer end.
    • Managing and motivating team members.
    • Conducting regular audits to cross-check the production process with reference to SOPs.
    • Handling dispatch clearance at Internal PDI gates.
