Key Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and maintain the Master Production Schedule (MPS) based on sales plans, sales forecasts, inventory levels, and capacity constraints.
Conduct feasibility reviews of the sales plan against installed capacity on a month-wise, week-wise, and product-wise basis.
Collaborate with the Sales and Project teams to review and validate the sales plan.
Prepare, review, and release Plan vs Actual performance reports (weekly & monthly) for all workstations, including analysis of delays and root-cause identification.
Apply principles of Lean Manufacturing for continuous improvement in planning and scheduling processes.
Utilize backward planning techniques to meet customer required dates effectively.
Perform capacity planning, capacity leveling, and line balancing to optimize resource utilization.
Coordinate closely with production supervisors and planners to ensure daily and weekly schedules are met.
Define, monitor, and review KPIs for production planners to ensure planning efficiency and accuracy.
Identify and analyze production bottlenecks, recommending and implementing process improvements to enhance throughput and reduce cycle time.
Work extensively on ERP systems for planning, scheduling, and tracking.
