Primary Roles & Responsibilities:
Preventive & Predictive Maintenance:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive maintenance schedule for all mechanical / electrical systems and production machinery.
- Utilize predictive tools and condition-monitoring techniques to anticipate potential breakdowns and avoid unplanned downtime.
Team Leadership & Supervision:
- Lead, mentor, and supervise the maintenance team, delegating tasks and ensuring technicians receive specialized training for handling equipment.
- Manage contractor relationships for external technical support, ensuring adherence to company safety and quality standards.
Troubleshooting & Repairs:
- Coordinate rapid-response repair efforts to diagnose and resolve equipment failures with minimal impact on production.
- Facilitate collaboration between engineering teams and vendors for complex repair projects.
Budget & Inventory Management:
- Manage the maintenance budget and oversee expense control, identifying cost-saving opportunities while maintaining equipment reliability.
- Ensure the efficient management of spare parts, tools, and supplies to support continuous production.
Compliance & Safety:
- Enforce adherence to all relevant safety regulations and company policies throughout maintenance operations.
- Conduct regular audits of maintenance practices and facility conditions, proactively mitigating potential risks.
Documentation & Reporting:
- Maintain comprehensive records of maintenance activities, work orders, and equipment histories in alignment with industry standards.
- Compile periodic reports on maintenance performance, downtime incidents, and cost analyses for management review.
Cross-Departmental Collaboration:
- Liaise with production and quality assurance teams to plan maintenance, machinery installations, and equipment upgrades.
- Drive continuous improvement by recommending process enhancements and equipment modifications for efficiency gains.
Qualifications & Experience:
Educational Background:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical / Mechanical / Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Advanced certifications, such as Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP) or Certified Plant Engineer (CPE), are advantageous.
Experience:
- Around 10~15 years of progressive experience in industrial maintenance with a minimum of 3 years in a supervisory or management capacity.
- Demonstrated success in maintenance management within a manufacturing environment, preferably with a background in sheet metal / machine shop production environment.
Core Skill Set:
Technical Expertise: Proficiency in managing mechanical/electrical systems including, press equipment, welding machinery, and robotics.
Preventive & Predictive Maintenance: Ability to design, implement, and continuously improve maintenance routines using modern tools and CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).
Troubleshooting & Repair: Excellent diagnostic skills for resolving both routine and complex equipment issues swiftly.
- Budget & Inventory Management: Strong capabilities in managing budgets and optimizing spare parts inventories without impacting production flow.
- Leadership & Communication: Proven leadership qualities with the ability to inspire and lead a diverse maintenance team, coupled with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) Expertise:
- TPM Fundamentals: Solid understanding of TPM as a holistic approach to asset management.
- Autonomous Maintenance: Skills in training and guiding operators for the first line of maintenance, ensuring daily cleaning, inspection, and basic upkeep.
- Focused Improvement & Planned Maintenance: Expertise in initiating projects that target chronic issues and implementing structured, scheduled maintenance activities to enhance equipment reliability.
- Quality Maintenance & Continuous Improvement: Familiarity with TPM’s emphasis on quality maintenance, ensuring continuous improvement through metrics and feedback loops.
- Team Training & Empowerment: Ability to facilitate training sessions on TPM principles to foster a culture of accountability and proactive maintenance within the organization.

Continuous Improvement: Evaluate current maintenance practices and integrate advanced methodologies, including IoT-based monitoring and digital dashboards, to enable data-driven decision-making.
Sustainability Initiatives: Implement energy-saving strategies and eco-friendly maintenance practices to balance operational efficiency with environmental responsibility.
Vendor & Supplier Relations: Develop strong relationships with suppliers to ensure timely support, availability of high-quality parts, and competitive pricing.
Emergency Response Planning: Define and practice comprehensive emergency response procedures to ensure swift and safe reactions to unforeseen equipment failures or safety incidents.
