Assembly Supervisor

    Minimum exp for Nature of Work

    • Strong knowledge of Sheet Metal Assembly processes and their parameters.
    • Understanding of different types of fasteners, their applications, and relevant standards.
    • Familiarity with Assembly Standards, symbols, and interpretation.
    • Hands-on knowledge of Riveting, Torquing, Clinching, and other cold joining methods.
    • Knowledge of adhesive bonding processes and identification of common bonding defects.
    • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and Bill of Materials (BOM).
    • Proven experience in managing and supervising a minimum of 50 team members on the shop floor.
    • Out of the total experience required, at least 2–3 years must be in the above-mentioned areas of expertise.

    Job Profile / Responsibility

    • Raise issue slip for consumable tools as per plan.
    • Allocate manpower resources as per shift plan given by PPC.
    • Check in process work at every station & ensure work is carried out as per standard defined process.
    • Check the daily production report of every station.
    • Make system entry as per actual report.
    • Offer product to quality after finishing every process.
    • Identify process improvement to reduce rework and process time.
    • Monitor absenteeism of workers and report to shift in charge.
    • Maintain 5S at each workstation and shop floor.
    • Escalate design, planning & previous department issue to shift in charge.
    • Raise machine breakdown memo in system & take follow up to close.
    • Identify shortage of resources and highlight to shift in charge.
    • Give on-the-job training to workers to reduce defects and process time.
    • Review skill of each worker in interval of 3 month and give to shift in charge.
    • Prepare shift schedule and get it approved from shift in charge.
    • Prepare shift OT memo as per production requirement or against absenteeism of workers.
    • Handover shift to next shift supervisor with written shift production report.
    • Raise leave of worker in system and approve the same.
